I’m Pamela — and I’ll be honest with you straight away.

I hate having my photo taken.

Which probably tells you more about how I work than anything else on this page. I’m a people-watcher. I notice things other people miss. That’s not something I learned — it’s just how I’m wired.

But here’s the thing about hating having your photo taken — it also means I understand exactly how important it is to actually be in them. Especially the people who spend the whole day making sure everyone else is okay.

The mums. The ones who are so busy holding everything together that nobody thinks to turn the camera on them.

I think about that at every wedding I photograph.
