Small & Intimate Wedding Photography in Dublin & Ireland

For couples who want something small, personal and completely their own.

I’m a documentary wedding photographer based in Dublin, specialising in small weddings, elopements and intimate celebrations across the city.

Not every wedding needs a hundred guests, a marquee and a twelve-hour day.

Some of the most beautiful weddings I've photographed have been the smallest ones — a handful of the people who matter most to you, a ceremony that means something, and a day that belongs entirely to the two of you.

If that sounds like what you're planning — you're exactly who this page is for.

Why Dublin Is Perfect for Small and Intimate Weddings

Dublin is one of the best cities in the world for an intimate wedding. It's small enough to feel personal, friendly enough that strangers will stop to wish you well as you walk the streets, and beautiful enough that the city itself becomes part of your story.

A civil ceremony at Dublin Registry Office or City Hall — or at one of the many hotels, restaurants and venues across Dublin that are licensed for ceremonies — a wander through Temple Bar, cobblestones, colourful murals, the kind of backdrops that need no filter, drinks at a favourite pub, dinner somewhere special. The city does half the work — you just have to show up and enjoy it.

No grand venues. No complicated logistics. Just your day, your people, and Dublin as your backdrop.

I've photographed intimate weddings and elopements across Dublin — from civil ceremonies with eight guests to relaxed city celebrations with close family and friends. Every one of them has been completely unique. And every one of them has been exactly right for the couple involved.

A Real Small Wedding in Dublin City

Lee-Anne and Sean got married on the rooftop at The Woollen Mills in Dublin. It was their kind of day — no fuss, no tradition, just exactly them.

After the rooftop ceremony and drinks, the three of us slipped away — across the Ha'Penny Bridge, through Temple Bar, past locals going about their day who stopped to smile and congratulate them as we went. When we took a few portraits together it felt easy and natural — a gentle steer here and there, nothing awkward or forced. Just two people completely in love, wandering their city on their wedding day.

And they put their cats on the wedding cake. Of course they did!

That's a small Dublin wedding done exactly right.

From the couple

"From the moment she arrived, she was polite, professional, and so friendly with all of our guests — everyone commented on how lovely she was. She captured everything — from the special moments before and during the ceremony to a beautiful walk through Dublin City afterwards. She made everything feel easy and natural, and the results are memories we will treasure forever. Pamela is an absolute gem."

For Couples Planning a Small Wedding in Dublin

This page is for you if your wedding is small by choice — not compromise.

If you're planning a civil ceremony at Dublin Registry Office or City Hall — or at one of the many hotels, restaurants and venues across Dublin that are licensed for ceremonies — an elopement, an intimate celebration with close family and friends, or simply a short relaxed day that's completely your own, you're in the right place.

Having your ceremony and reception in the same venue is ideal for a short session — one location, no rushing between places, more time to simply enjoy the day.

No hundred-person guest lists. No twelve-hour days. Just the people who matter most, a day that reflects who you actually are, and someone quietly documenting all of it.

A Relaxed, Documentary Approach to Small Wedding Photography

Smaller weddings suit my approach perfectly. With fewer people and less pressure there's more space for real moments to happen — and more time for me to find them.

I work quietly and without directing. If you're nervous about being photographed — small weddings are actually perfect for that. Fewer people, less pressure, and more time to relax into the day.

For portraits and family photographs I'll guide you gently — nothing complicated, just easy direction that gets you great results without the stress.

The goal is simple. You enjoy your day. I document it honestly.
