I started entering international photography awards because they push me to keep growing. What happened next I genuinely didn't expect.

In 2024 I was awarded Ireland Family Photographer of the Year by This Is Reportage Family — ranked No.1 in Ireland and 42nd globally. Around the same time Inspiration Photographers ranked me 25th in their Best Family Photographer category — placing me in the Top 50 Documentary Family Photographers Worldwide.

I'm sharing this not to show off — but because if you're trusting me with your family's story, you deserve to know the standard I hold myself to.

This Is Reportage Family is one of the most respected documentary photography organisations in the world — dedicated to celebrating authentic, unposed family storytelling.

Being ranked No.1 in Ireland means the work I'm doing for families across Cavan, Dublin and Ireland is being recognised at the highest level globally. Every image is judged on its own merit by an international panel. No popularity contests. Just the work.


Inspiration Photographers

Since joining Inspiration Photographers I've received six Family Photo Awards, one Best Family Collection Award, three Honourable Mentions and a Golden Lens Nomination.

Being ranked 25th globally and placed among the Top 50 Documentary Family Photographers Worldwide is something I'm genuinely proud of — not because of the ranking itself but because of what it represents. A commitment to doing this properly.


Why I Enter Awards

Entering international awards pushes me to stay creative, keep learning and show up with full intention for every family I photograph.

It's not about trophies — there aren't any. It's about holding myself to a high standard. Because if you're inviting me into your home to document your family life, you deserve a photographer who genuinely cares about the quality of what they deliver.
