I first met Niamh and Conor over tea and cake nearly eighteen months before their wedding. By the end of that first meeting I knew their day was going to be something special.

They knew exactly what they wanted — relaxed, natural, no fuss. My kind of couple.

From the very start, their choice of Lyrath Estate set the tone for the kind of day they wanted — elegant, relaxed and full of space to simply enjoy every moment.


Bridal Preparations at Lyrath Estate

The morning started in the bridal suite with Niamh, her mum, sisters and two small niece and nephew who had absolutely no intention of staying in the background.

The girls were still laughing about hen party photos. Someone was teasing Niamh about her baby face. The atmosphere was warm and easy — no nerves, just pure excitement.

Niamh was genuinely glowing. One of the most joyful brides I've photographed — like a child on Christmas morning, so happy she could barely contain it.

On the groom's side Conor and his best men had a relaxed morning too — banter, laughter and some real emotion when the couple exchanged gifts and cards before the ceremony.


Lyrath Estate Wedding Ceremony

Niamh's parents seeing their youngest daughter all dressed up — that moment was something. You could feel the love and pride from across the room.

The church ceremony was full of personal touches — prayers from loved ones, tears, laughter and vows that meant something. The kind of ceremony that reminds you why all of this matters.


A Relaxed Wedding at Lyrath Estate

Back to Lyrath Estate in the sunshine for the drinks reception. Guests spilled out onto the gardens, the grounds looked stunning and the atmosphere was exactly what Niamh and Conor had hoped for — warm, relaxed and full of genuine joy.

Lyrath Estate is one of Kilkenny’s most sought-after wedding venues — elegant without being intimidating, and the grounds give you everything you need for portraits.


Capturing Real Moments Throughout the Day

The speeches were everything — heartfelt, funny, emotional. Garda jokes, family stories and touching tributes to those no longer with them. Not a dry eye in the room.

Then Niamh hit the dancefloor and showed everyone her rock chick side. The band kept the energy high all night. It was one of those evenings where the joy is completely infectious and nobody wants it to end.
