A Day in the Life Family Photography Session in Tipperary
The twins were wearing swimsuits over their tights.
Nobody had asked them to. Nobody was going to stop them either. And honestly — it was perfect.
A Day in the Life Session with a Family in Tipperary
A family of five in Tipperary — Dad, Mum, a seven-year-old son and three-year-old twin daughters who had very strong opinions about their outfits.
They opened their home for a full Day in the Life session — a few hours documenting their ordinary day exactly as it was. No tidying up, no special occasion, no performing for the camera. Just their family being their family.
A Real Day at Home with Three Young Children
Lego towers. Messy meals. Tears over whose turn it was on the swing. The family dog helping himself to someone's dinner. Tiny hands clapping at Dad's rugby. Bedtime stories and the particular exhausted happiness of a house with small children at the end of a full day.
All of it worth documenting. All of it already gone by the time the next day starts.
Why Day in the Life Family Photography Matters
A Day in the Life session isn't about capturing a special occasion. It's about capturing an ordinary one — because ordinary days are the ones that disappear fastest.
The swimsuits over tights. The Lego on the floor. The way the twins look at each other. These details feel unremarkable now. In ten years they'll be everything.
A Final Note on This Day in the Life Session
Leanne sent me a lovely gift in the post after this session — the kids had loved the day and couldn't wait for me to come back. That's honestly the best possible response to a Day in the Life session.
If you're thinking about a Day in the Life family photography session in Ireland and want your family documented just as you are, I’d love to spend a day with you.
